New kid in school Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is smitten with the beautiful Bianca (Larisa Oleynik). The problem is that Bianca is not allowed to date unless her older sister snarling Kat (Stiles) does. Cameron only hope is to get the help of Patrick (Ledger), the school troublemaker with a reputation as bad as Kat’s. This special edition brings the love struck high school classmates of ’99 with a wealth of never-before-seen footage. Also featuring a soundtrack of retro Nineties memorable tunes, 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU is a comedy, you can count. Bonus features include: 10 Things I Love About 10 Things I Hate About You 10 years later take A Look Back And Remember why everyone loves this Classic Teen Comedy. This new documentary features interviews with director Gil Junger, co-screenwriters Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah Lutz, Never-Before-Seen Footage Casting, Cast Interviews, and More, deleted scenes, writers and Cast Audio CommentaryAmazon. Comit, like Shakespeare, man! This update easygoing and likeable of The Taming of the Shrew takes the basics of Shakespeare’s comedy about a daughter and cantankerous man who tries to win her and transfers it to modern times Padua High School. Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) is a sullen, forbidding Riot grrrl who has a word for each of the blisters, Sunny’s younger sister Bianca (Larisa Oleynik) is poised for fame school. The problem: overprotective and paranoid Papa Stratford (a dryly funny Larry Miller) will not let Bianca date until boy-hating Kat does, that is to say never. When Bianca pining suitor Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) gets wind of this, he urges the mysterious, brooding Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) to loosen Kat up. Of course, what begins as a concert paying turns to true love as Patrick discovers that in his fragile outside, Kat is a regular baby. The script by Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, is sitcom-funny with peppy one-liners and many teenspeak smart, but his intelligence and imagination really does not extend beyond his characters the names of Renaissance and occasional excerpts of real Shakespearean dialogue. What makes the movie energetic and winning is the formula that helped make She’s All That such a success: two high-powered stars who look great and can really act. Ledger is a bit of promise with a quick smile and charming Australian accent, and Stiles mines Kat bitterness and anger to depths usually unknown in teen films, his recitation of his sonnet English class (d ‘where the film takes its title) is funny, heartbreaking and hopelessly romantic. The imperious Allison Janney (Primary Colors) nearly steals the film as a guidance counselor no-nonsense writing a secret romance trash. – Mark Englehart

AWFUL! Funny and just plain DUMB. This movie is for anyone who has an IQ of between 0 and 1. the only thing that was a little fun throughout the film are the credits. This film has only 1 level humor. The jokes are never the intelligence and original. There is not no characters in the film, I have not even about. A waste of time really, you ask me. Rating: 1 / 5

Come on people, if you’re smart, you will not waste your time on this piece of cinematic garbage. If these litte teeny boppers want to see films on the lives of huge problems (get a date for the ball) is their problem. It is absolutely disgusting that they have the audacity to call this day a modern “Taming of the Shrew.” PLEASE do not equate this poor excuse for a film with Shakespeare. He must be turning in his grave! No, not “like Shakespeare, man!” It’s totally disgusting, disgusting garbage. Do not waste your time or money. Rating: 1 / 5

  4. A Customer says:

The film is just a way of Heath Ledger to a hokey, unrealistic singing and dancing routine on the bleachers of the stadium. Skip it. Rating: 1 / 5

  5. Griff Host says:

Simply put, this poorly written excuse for a teen movie holds ten seats in my top 100 worst movies of all time. Dreck. Rating: 1 / 5
