Amazon. comThe sixth installment of the Harry Potter series starts right where the Order of the Phoenix left. The wizarding world is rocked by the news that “he who can not be named has really returned, and the public finally knows that Harry is” the Chosen One “- the only magician who can defeat Lord Voldemort in the end. The dark forces loom around every corner, and now regularly attempt to penetrate the walls are protected from the school of Hogwarts. This is more fun and fascinating world of magic of the first books that some of it is dark, dangerous and frightening. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) suspects Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) to be a new recruit Death Eater on a special mission for the Dark Lord. Meanwhile, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) seems to have finally lifted the veil of secrecy about Harry the dark path ahead of us, and gives private lessons instead to get prepared. In these scenes intriguing that the dark past of Tom Riddle (aka Voldemort) is finally revealed. The actors often cast as the young versions of Riddle (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Frank Dillane) do a fantastic job of portraying the strangely wicked as a child. While previous films many new characters could be a bit overwhelming, one key character is introduced this time: Professor Horace Slughorn (with a spot on performance by Jim Broadbent). Inside his mind, he holds a secret key in the battle to defeat the Dark Lord, and Harry is instructed by Dumbledore to find a memory about weapons darkest Voldemort – the Horcrux. Despite the long list of distractions, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are still trying to focus on adolescents to be, and the public will appreciate the budding romances awkward. All players have developed well, giving their most convincing performance so far. More important things and more meaningful to go into this film than any of his predecessors, and the stakes are higher than ever. The designers were tasked with a challenge almost impossible, that fans of the series beloved JK Rowling book desperately want the movies to capture the magic of books as closely as possible. Alas, the point where we accept that these two mediums are very different is the point where we can really enjoy these brilliant adaptations. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is no exception: it may be the best movie yet. For those who have not read the book, nail biting entertainment is assured. For those who have the film that does justice. The key dramatic scenes, including the cave and the shocking twist in the last chapter, are executed very well. It does a perfect job of setting up of two parts grand finale that follows. – Jordan Thompson

I Am Legend

Will Smith portrays that lone survivor in I Am Legend, the action epic fusing heart-pounding excitement with a mind-blowing vision of a desolated Manhattan.Somehow immune to an unstoppable, incurable virus, military virologist Robert Neville (Smith) is now the last human survivor in New York City and maybe the world. DescriptionStudio product: Warner Home Video Release Date: 12/09/2008 Rating: Pg13Amazon. comWill Smith stars in the third adaptation of the classical science of Richard Matheson’s novel about a fictional survivor of the solitary man in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by vampires. This new version somewhat alters Matheson central hook, i. e. , The frightening thought that the ordinary man, Robert Neville, spends his days roaming a desolated city and his nights in a house isolated from longtime neighbors who have become bloodsucking demons. In the new film, Neville Smith is a military scientist charged with finding a cure for a virus that turns people into crazy, hairless, flesh-eating zombies. Do not complete its work in time – and after enduring a personal tragedy – Neville finds himself alone in Manhattan, his natural immunity to the virus keeping him alive. With an expressive German shepherd his only companion, Neville is a hunter-gatherer in sunlight, hiding from the mutants night in his house, instead of the city of Washington and the orderly conduct experiments in his ceaseless quest to conquer the disease. First half of the film almost suggests that I Am Legend could be one of the finest films of 2007. Extraordinary images, computer generated film director Francis Lawrence of decomposition of New York shows weeds growing through the cracks of familiar streets that are also overrun by deer and prowled by lions. It is impossible not to be fascinated by such a realistically altered cityscape, reverting to a natural environment, through which Smith moves with an oddly enviable freedom, offset by its caution on anything that is lurking in the dark vaults banks and parking garages. Lawrence and screenwriters Mark Protosevich and Akiva Goldsman wisely build suspense by withholding the images of the scene monsters until a peak of horror well into the story. It must be said, however, that the computer enhanced creatures do not look half as interesting as they might have the most respected filmmakers Vampire Matheson-nightmare. I Am Legend is finally to note the remarkable performance of Smith as a man so lonely he talks to mannequins in the shops he frequents. Second half of the film goes too far in representing Neville Smith as a man with a pitiful messianic mission, but the decline in pathos does nothing to remove the visual and dramatic accomplishments of its first hour. – Tom Keogh

DescriptionJigsaw disappeared. With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, complex games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) and Jeff (Angus Macfadyen) are unaware that they are poised to become the latest pawns on his vicious chessboardAmazon. comThe First Saw picture actually had an idea behind it, not to mention the ingenuity of its low production budget, make a silk purse on a bloody ear of man-mounted fly, so to speak. With Saw III, the franchise nearly moved to Gore Gore’s Sake, as it explores new and better ways to traumatize the body – and the public. Events from Saw II are sewn up at the beginning of the film, and a detective on the trail of mad killer Jigsaw is quickly trussed up and subjected to one of the wicked sadistic games (this one has escape possible only by means of ‘a key sitting in the bottom of a container of acid). Then we catch up with Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) himself, as he awaits death from his debilitating illness, again it is maintained by helper Shawnee Smith. The movie follows parallel plots: Jigsaw blackmails a doctor (Bahar Soomekh) to keep it alive, and tortures a vengeful soul (Angus Macfayden) recognizing the futility of vengeance. Original Saw creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell worked on the screenplay of it, and it fully buys into the series mythology, referring backwards to previous events and, for all we know, we are preparing to future payments. But if future installments are also unnecessarily disgusting than this, there is not much hope. – Robert Horton
