Co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges it, aos a fantastic, high-flying journey that is “highly entertaining” (Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal). Amazon. ComYou know you’ll get a different kind superhero when you start Robert Downey Jr. in the lead. And Iron Man is different, so welcome. Cleverly updated series of longstanding Marvel Comics, Iron Man puts billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (that Downey) in the path of some terrorists in the Middle East, in a brilliantly paced section, Stark invents an indestructible combination that allows him to escape. If the rest of the movie never quit hits that precise rhythm again, it offers However much fun as the renewed Stark swears off his past as a weapons manufacturer, develops his new Iron Man suit, and puzzles both his business partner (Jeff Bridges in great form) and executive assistant (Gwyneth Paltrow). Director Jon Favreau geeks out in fun ways with the hardware, but never lets crush the film, and there’s always a goofy one-liner or a slapstick Pratfall around to break the tension. As for Downey, it does not jitterbug around too much in the way of improvisation, but he brings enough of his unpredictable personality to keep things fresh. And listen, hardcore Marvel mavens: even if you know the Stan Lee cameo is coming you will not be able to guess it until it is on the screen. It all builds to a splendid final scene, with a concluding line delivery by Downey that just feels right. – Robert Horton Stills from Iron Man (Click for larger image)

  • When the filmmakers have used extracts from the 1970 Black Sabbath song of the same name, they left the voice of Ozzy Osbourne for a very good reason. Specifically, the iron man in the Marvel comics iron man described in the song of the Sabbath are two fundamentally different characters in two stories that could not more different from each other if they tried. Therefore, quoting Black Sabbath in your review does not make you look smart. It makes you seem ignorant of the contents of one or another iteration of Iron Man. Rating: 1 / 5

  • I must admit that I fell for all the hype that this would be a nice movie. The reason I pay almost $ 10. 00 to watch a movie on the big screen is to entertain, to get some emotional pleasure! One problem with Iron Man is that he focuses on the mind of a child / young teen charm. It’s so incredibly predictable, a sort of comic-book film history form. A very clever way to Hollywood to make a quick profit at the expense of interesting (to a certain level) history. I’m tired of the ugly meanie terrorists. I’m tired of quite the good guy Clueless (s). I’m tired of the mentor’s evil! This story has absolutely no imagination. This level of intelligence of a second-rate Saturday morning cartoon! Is also the rawest form of exploitation for financial gain imaginable! The real bad guys have always got to be Arabs, or look like Arabs. They kill innocent civilians without reason. They hide in caves, like the soldiers hated the Japanese in World War 2. But only a rich and powerful weapons inventor U.S. & dealer can come to the rescue! Wow! What sends a message to the makers of weapons in the world! Who would have ever guessed that deep down, inside, one of the merchants of death literally has a heart of gold (or palladium, in this case)! Afghanistan is currently a very troubled country, even if it has a rich cultural tradition. It’s a shame it was dumbed the Iron Man of defenseless civilians, warlords brutal, impotent and Clueless American military and a white man who had a very convincing experience of conversion. If Hollywood is going to bring politics and current events in the history of comics, then they should act more like mature adults instead of soulless moneygrubers trying to make money on the back of the horrible suffering of people in some countries distance. Afghanistan is not to suggest some place! It is a place where real people, including the courageous Americans and many others from around the world risk their lives every day! I hope Hollywood stop treating viewers the world like a bunch of idiots. And while I am, it would be nice if some of the many millions of dollars Hollywood will make Iron Man is given to various third parties, non-profit organizations working on rebuilding the civilian infrastructure of Afghanistan! They could certainly use the money!
