  • If you honestly, seriously, loved your child, and wanted to be safe and not expose it to innappropriate things that should not be shown to him. This DVD / VHS is chock full of nonsense stupid useless I have ever loved. I think if you want to watch something for education, shows some presidential address. . or Rugrats. . None of these new age cartoons or caricatures of old age like this. “I want to be a real boy.” Well, for one you can not talk in real life, and nobody loves you enough to Oyu to be real. This video has never been one of my favorites, but I always hated in his heart. If I could put a penny on each line says stupid in this movie, I’d be richer than mr. doors. This horrible act was incredible bad singing, and it hurts me to watch. . knowing that people actually encourage children to watch it. For my part I think that if the blood and groteskness is innappropriate for their children, which is much worse. That and the little mermaid. . essentially all the really old Disney movies. If you have other people may recall the old VHS box SM, there was one. . Long. . . gold. . figure in the background of the castle. Remember? This shows how it is moved, and how all that money thats going tot he made the wrong people. . . . . over at Disney. . Avoid this movie, and Mr. L. at any price! Sincerely heart of, Me. Alex. • While Pinocchio may be considered one of Disney classics, some of the scenes / content in this older animation would not be visible or deemed appropriate in today’s films for children. Gepetto is shown smoking in bed. Many characters smoke. Young boys are brought – as a treat – a place where they can smoke, “drink” (something frothy like beer or root beer), and destructive act very much as they want. The boys are tricked into thinking it’s a fun place to go but are turned into donkeys and sold to work in mines – never again see their families. Ultimately, the old Gepetto gets his wish. Pinocchio is a real boy. And old Gepetto comes to sharing his bed with the boy. Although all these scenes could be used to discuss appropriate behavior, I would not recommend this film to show children. I made the mistake of showing my young 4 and 2 years. This is one of those films that I will not run on several occasions. Rating: 2 / 5

  • I want those two hours of my life back! not as a Disney classic, even if everyone seems to think! DO NOT SEE Y! YOU WILL DIE! Rating: 1 / 5

  • This is certainly not one of my favorite Disney movies. I have not really put in the movie I guess, but I never really cared for this fairy tale either. The voice actors are good and the scenery and the colors are fantastic. But for some reason it just did not really hit home for me. Rating: 1 / 5

  • As a child I grew up loving Pinocchio. I loved the story and film. But as an adult, I had time to review this history and its effects on our children. This film contains too much violence and too fantastic way for our children to handle. With all this fluff and happy themes, how can you show it to our children when there is so much suffering in the world? I think that very unfair to children from other countries who are dying of famine or war for our own children to enjoy something so blatently moralizing. I think there are some religious overtones in the story as though it had been held in check. Please for the love of our children and future, to avoid damaging the film. Rating: 1 / 5
