Amazon announced this DVD as a new version to be released December 2, the old movie in black and white. I received the 1st December, so how could it be a new version that will be launched on December 2nd? I think it was a false Advertizement. I bought the Blu-ray version of the original and has not been too impressionné.Je not give it a 3 out of 5 rating, by the effort. They must include the colorized version with all the bloopers and colectibles autre.La Blu-ray version has no other light than the best photos in black and white. It really was not remastered, which is the Blu-ray collectors have come to expect! Maybe when they release the new movie on Blu-ray, it will include a remastered colorized version of the original. The movie studio collectors really let us down video on it. Oh, and for those who love the original black and white – there are still VHS tapes out there! The younger generation wants the spirit and requirements of beautiful colors to 1080p or better when they fork over additional funds for Blu-ray. Rating: 3 / 5
Why is a question of Blu-Ray version that is not in 16-9 format? This is no different than watching my old copy on my 1080p set. They argue skillfully aspect ratio 1. 33:1, which is the same as 4:3. When I ordered I thought it was a mistake. Shame! We were deceived! Rating: 1 / 5
Here is a review of Blue Ray disk. . . . This is not about the movie itself. It is on chapter 81 when Patricia Neal is directed to the saucer by Gort and son to remain visible DAMN !!!!! WHY?? Why could not they get rid of his son? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? IT RUINS the whole movie! SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE DO THAT FOR U.S.! Rating: 1 / 5
