The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Product DescriptionMUMMY-Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (BLU RAY) (2DISCS/Amazon. ComThe third film in The Mummy series freshens the franchise up by setting the action in China. Here, the discovery of the tomb to prepare a former Emperor proves a feather in the cap of Alex O’Connell (Luke Ford), a young archaeologist and son of Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his wife Evelyn (Maria Bello, taking over the role from Rachel Weisz). Unfortunately a curse that turned the emperor (Jet Li) and his army of terracotta warriors buried for centuries is lifted, and the old guy prepares for world domination by seeking immortality at Shangri La. the O ‘Connell barely stay a step ahead of him (climbing through the Himalaya mountains with apparent ease), but the action inevitably leads to a confrontation between two armies of mummies in a Chinese desert. The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor has a lot to offer: a supporting cast that includes the elegant Michelle Yeoh, Russell Wong, Liam Cunningham, the unexpected appearance of several Yeti and a climactic battle sequence that is terrifying is bizarre but convincing. On the downside, the charm so desperately sought in romantic relationships, as well as curves drawn by John Hannah (as Evelyn’s brother Rascal), is not only absent but often annoying. Rarely witty asides in the heart the battle been more unwelcome in a movie executive. Rob Cohen is largely crisp if sometimes curious (a fight between Fraser and Jet Li keeps varying in speed for some reason), but his vision of Shangri La, in the Hollywood tradition, is certainly attractive. – Tom Keoghbr > Stills of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (Click for larger image) Click to learn more about the BD-Live Experience

  1. OK, the commentators above are smoking crack if they think that the mummy 2 is better, which has a new mummy was very well played by Jet Li, amazing as always, lots of humor, neat scene with men snow in the mountains, Maria Bello as Evie is great the new place emphasis on, look forward to the BluRay release, Rob Cohen did a great job directing it, eager to see davantagejRating: 4 / 5

The director talks about Obama’s comments in the film, is it to BHO, the same as Leni Riefenstahl was to AH in Germany? These films are great for entertainment, pleasure, escape from reality, not Hollywood political agendas of the left wing, or are they? Rating: 1 / 5

  3. The mummy part 3 is a solid entry in the franchise that has all the elements u want to see this kind of suspense, action, great effects and even laughter. The only thing wrong was MRS. BELLO. They should be the wife of the former Fraser and personally I count this film as a mummy movie I enjoyed as much as I enjoyed the first Mummy movie and the second. The film that I did not count as a MUMMY movie is the spin AUFUL FLICK CALLED. . . THE SCORPION S H IT. . . (Oops I meant King). Rating: 4 / 5

These notices must here to release Blu-Ray on its own merit. However there are those who like to trash a movie because it did not meet their expectations. As of this writing the BD has not yet been released so I can not comment. I am sure however that this will be the universals usual high standards. As for the film itself: SFX are top-notch. . . the visuals are stupéfiantes.L action and fight sequences are captivantes.Le acting is good. . . yes the characters are sometimes stupid, but what makes these Mummy movies so endearing. His comedy stupid! These films are intended to be fun and entertaining, an escape from reality. And the Tomb of the Dragon Emperor delivers! In closing, I recommend this movie to anyone who likes the first two films mom. For those of you who havent seen this yet. . . you owe it to yourself. Heres looking forward to a fourth film. . . . . . .;) Rating: 5 / 5
